Our site has easy access directly off the A1101 and is set well back from the road on an acre of mowed level grass. Water tap on each pitch & electric hook up shared with the neighbouring caravan/ motor home. We are a small holding with sheep and have a small farm shop selling homemade sausages, eggs, fruit and veg, homemade cakes, jams etc. There is a small secure fenced field next to the camp site that can be used for children playing or running your dogs off lead. In the corner of the site there a picnic bench and fire pit for those family evenings , toasting marshmallows, watching the wildlife, telling stories and snuggling up keeping warm. An excellent base for exploring Ely, Wisbech, Downham Market, Kings Lynn and Welney Wetlands Centre. If you wish to travel further afield, we are in easy reach of Sandringham, Cambridge, Peterborough or the beaches around the coast. Information shed on site to help you plan your days out. Ely has many interesting places to visit, The beautiful cathedral also houses the wonderful stain glass museum collection. There are many privately owned shops, restaurants and Thursday and Saturday markets . Denver sluice a fascinating and vitally important complex for water management across large parts of the fens. Sandringham estate is the private home of the Queen. Tickets are now available to prebook on line for the house and gardens. Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure game using gps-enabled devises. Participants navigate to a specific set of gps coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache hidden at that location. I’m told this is a treasure rich area. Peckover house and gardens, The Peckovers were a wealthy Quaker family of bankers, the house is now in the safe hands of the national trust, online booking available.
