Visit Tiptree for the famous Wilkins Jam tearooms, West Mersea for its sailing, fishing ad oysters or the market town of Maldon with its ancient quay, Thames barges and waterside park. There are two bird reserves near by, or maybe just chill out by your caravan and watch the horses and wildlife on site.
