Our CL is located in a beautiful rural location within striking distance of many fantastic places to explore including the Georgian City of Bath, the picturesque National Trust village of Lacock and Bowood House, with its Championship Golf Course, Spa and children's adventure playground. Lacock Lacock is a short drive away and is famous for numerous television shoots including Sense and Sensibility, Harry Potter and Larkrise to Candleford. There are several very good pubs including the Red Lion and The George, Lacock Abbey. It is posible to walk or cycle there. Bowood Country House Bowood is a beautiful house and gardens designed by Capability Brown and is a five minute drive away. In May the rhododendrons are in full bloom and well worth a visit. There is also an excellent adventure play ground for children aged up to 12 and Championship Golf Course. Bowood is a Grade I listed Georgian Country House with interiors by Robert Adam and a garden design by Lancelot "Capabiity" Brown. It is adjacent to the village of Derry Hill, halfway between Calne and Chippenham in Wiltshire. Bath The world famous Georgian City of Bath is approximately 15 miles west of here and definitely worth a visit. Here you will find Roman Baths, wonderful shops nestled in antique alleyways. Devizes Devizes is a 10 minute drive away and here you will find the famous Caen Hill Flight of Canal Locks one of the largest flights of over 30.
