Potash Wood is a peaceful site set in a rural oasis alongside ancient woodland, with lots of wildlife. Easy off-road access, with hardened approach to pitches, electrical hook-up, water and waste disposal. Excellent TV reception. The site is in an area of much variety, activity and interest. 5 miles south there are miles of sandy beaches, some Blue Flag; the longest pier in the UK, with an RNLI rescue craft and new Culture Centre. Southend has live theatres, cinemas and Regional shopping. To the North is yachting and river fishing on the River Crouch and Roach, and the historic marshes provide a natural habitat for sea birds. To the West lies Hadleigh Castle, with its park; the venue for the Olympic mountain bike track trail. Within 5 minutes' walk The Cock Inn welcomes you to traditional pub food, Rochford Golf Club is a 5 minute drive and there are two big Sports Centres nearby.
