Lakeside Meadow is a beautiful grassed 5 acre site, with its own lake (no fishing). It is approached from the road by a gated access onto a private drive. The driveway extends behind each pitch (with the exception of pitch 1) allowing you to drive straight onto your allocated pitch. Each pitch is hardstanding and has its own EHU and water supply along with a grey waste disposal point. There is an undercover chemical waste disposal and bin area. We have our main lake along with 3 smaller ponds, bridges and views out over the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Dogs are welcome. We do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times whilst on site and please clean up after them. There are 2 local pubs within a mile of Lakeside, both are excellent, serving food and drinks. The Yew Tree is in Ednaston village and the Red Lion in Hollington village, which is located by turning left out of Lakeside Meadow. The Saracens Head, in the neighbouring village of Shirley is renowned for it's wonderful menu and cuisine. The village of Brailsford with it's post office, village shop, cafes and pub along with a number of quirky independent shops located at Saracens Head Yard, is 2 miles away. The picturesque town of Ashbourne is just 6 miles away, with its winding cobbled streets, market place and Tudor & Georgian heritage, along with more than 200 listed buildings. Browse the many antique shops, designer fashion stores and individual retailers, before enjoying a well deserved coffee, lunch or afternoon tea in one of the many cafes and tea rooms. Or maybe enjoy a drink or 2 in the local pubs or wine bar. Ashbourne is known as The Gateway to Dovedale, home to the iconic stepping stones and part of the Peak District National Park. Britain's first park, formed in 1951. If the bright lights of the city are more your thing, the City of Derby is just 10 miles away, the UK's most central city. Here you will find a large Intu shopping centre with all the usual retailers you would expect. Or you can explore the Cathedral quarter and enjoy the numerous independent shops and see Derby's Gothic cathedral. Or maybe pay a visit to the Derby Brewing Company. Derby is home to many, many small pubs and micropubs. After all your exploring, return to Lakeside Meadow to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Derbyshire countryside.
