Giffords is set in a rural location just 1.25 miles from the picturesque Yorkshire Dales village of Clapham. Our CL is a half acre lawned field with full hard standing pitches. Facilities include electric hook-ups, space for awnings (no ground sheets), WC and recycling facilities onsite. The site is open from 1st Mar until 31st Oct and advanced booking is recommended. The site makes a perfect base for exploring the Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside and is set in one of the most ideal walking and cycling areas of the Dales. The Lake District and the Forest of Bowland are other areas of outstanding natural beauty that are within easy reach of the site. Or if walking isn't your interest, you can simply relax and unwind enjoying the views of Ingleborough from the comfort of your own caravan. Other attractions that are close to the site include Austwick and Malham limestone crags, the Ingleton Waterfalls and the underground splendour of the Ingleborough and White Scar caverns. Also close by is the famous Settle to Carlisle railway. Our CL is less than 8 miles from the pretty market town of Settle and less than 6 miles from Ingleton, with many quaint villages and places of interest within easy travelling distance, including Grassington, Skipton, Kendal, Lancaster and Morecambe.
