There is a fine pub and micro brewery less than 200 yards away, with good food and local beers. Nearby attractions include Cropton and Dalby Forests and the moors villages of Hutton Le Hole, Lastingham and Rosedale Abbey. The North York Moors Railway in Pickering runs through the famous Heartbeat country of Goathland and Grosmont over the moors to Whitby.
