Ashieburn C.L. is a quiet site set in the beautiful borders countryside. Beatrix Potter, Sister of Bertram who farmed here, loved to come for her holidays because there she could watch Peter Rabbit and his friends in the garden and nearby stream. The burn flows into the Ale water and river Teviot (fishing available) The site itself is located within 20 acres of land. The pitches are grass with electric hook ups. There is a W.C. with hot and cold water. We have a lovely woodland walk, which leads, down to the river. We are just over a mile from the village of Ancrum, which has a shop and pub with restaurant, and 6 miles from the town of Jedburgh. Within Jedburgh there are a choice of restaurants, shops, a golf course and a range of attractions, including, Jedburgh Castle, Mary Queen of Scots house, swimming pool and tourist information. The charming border towns of Hawick, Kelso and Melrose are also within a 12-mile radius. Edinburgh is located around 46 miles to the north.
