The site offers four large level grass pitches and one fully serviced hardstanding which are very generously spaced, within a private meadow that is surrounded by mature hedgerows. Sheep graze in an adjacent area, and the neighbouring farms have animals so you will enjoy nature's soundtrack. A gate leads onto the local footpaths providing access to the nearby "Sandylay Woods" nature reserve, and other walks. These take you to surrounding villages and local pubs. Each pitch has a mains hookup available. There is a small washroom with hot water, toilet, shower and washing up area. We welcome both motorhomes and caravans. Those with smaller and pop-top campers particularly enjoy the site due to the washroom facilities, and picnic benches. The site is within easy reach of Chelmsford City race course for those attending the regular racing and festivals. Local attractions include RHS Hyde Hall, Hylands Estate, two NT properties in Coggeshall, and English Heritage Audley End.

Pre-booking is required at all times. The site is unsuitable for long motorhomes with three axles and twin axle caravans. Only green fluid is permitted on this CL (we keep a stock if you need some). Dogs are welcome, but we ask owners to keep them on a lead, and clean up any fouling.
There are several pubs within walking distance. The site is adjacent to a woodland nature reserve, which is ideal for dog walking. This can be reached within 2 minutes by leaving the site through a pedestrian gate and following the public footpath. A bus stop 5 minutes from the site and services are available to Chelmsford and Braintree.
